Mickey Rourke may have the appearance and attitude of a WWF wrestler but one would surely question his ability to pull off a Wrestlemania win anymore than he could pull off winning a Miss USA Pageant. Although given his hair do in the movie, he could run a close second!

Having previously embraced a boxing career, which he clearly didn’t excel at either, the Oscar nominated Rourke has revealed that he has been in talks with WWE boss, Vince McMahon in relationship to making an appearance at the Houston Wrestlemania. Rourke has also been contacted by the other guys from WWE who are encouraging him to participate. They’re probably looking for an easy knockout!

The movie, for which Rourke has received an Oscar nod The wrestler, centres around a fading old wrestler who’s career is ended when he experiences a heart attack. Art imitating life, maybe!

Perhaps Rourke, at 51, should just wait for the next script for the Wrestler 2 to land on his doormat, that would be a whole lot safer than being flung around the ring by The Hulk, The Rock or finally even The Undertaker!
