As Michelle Obama now finds herself in the public eye, as the first African American First Lady, and in a predominant position to constantly beat up anyone who will listen with the ‘slave stick’, she and the president have suddenly found the time to trace her ancestry back to the slave trade of the 1700’s.

On all accounts her great, great grandfather was a slave on a rice plantation in South Carolina who toiled in the relentless sun from dawn to dusk.

Even in death there is competition! Who attracted the largest TV audience, worldwide, Michael Jackson or The Princess of Wales, Diana? Who attracted the most respected celebrities and dignitaries from around the world, Michael or Diana?

Well, if one considers Mariah Carey’s tacky attempt at Jackson’s own 1970’s hit, ‘I’ll Be There’, failing to find those top notes that Jackson found with such ease, or Usher’s ghoulish touching of Jackson’s gold casket, (that we were led to believe was occupied by Jackson’s body), as any accolade to The King of Pop, then by comparison, Princess Diana wins hands down!

As the economical sh** hit’s the fan on both sides of the Atlantic, it already seems to be attracting the inevitable guests that accompany excrement, and look where the flies are making their first stop, right next to the biggest bullsh**ter on the face of the earth!

Grab yourself a colour chart and choose a nice shade of white or pastel. That’s the message from the man in The White House who is saying ‘yes we can’ and all with a bucket of white paint, or with some pretty ‘pastel shades!’

Its day five of Mia Farrow’s hunger strike in her bid to create more awareness to the plight of the people in the Sudan. She had promised to make a video blog on a daily basis, but as Friday draws to a close there doesn’t appear to be a blog forthcoming.

One can only assume that as time marches on Mia is finding it increasingly difficult to cope with the weakness brought about by hunger.

As if New Yorkers aren’t under enough stress this week with an outbreak of Swine Flu in a Queens prep school, today they were also subjected to flash backs of September 11th 2001 when an Air Force One look-alike jumbo jet made 4 fly pasts the Statue of Liberty.

The back up plane for the one regularly used by president Barack Obama flew low over New York and New Jersey flanked by 2 F-16 fighter jets in a photo call for Air Force photographers.

 Once again the Obama ego touched down in Airforce One today at London’s Stanstead airport where Barack Obama and his wife, Michelle disembarked on yet another jolly that saw them costing the recession struck American tax payers a huge bill for among, of all things, 8 personal assistants for the diva Michelle.
