Fans of Hugh Hefner’s May 1999 Playboy cover girl, model and actress, Charlize Theron, will no doubt be rushing to the movie theaters when her latest film, The Burning Plain, hits the big screen in November 2009. The movie sees the 32 year old starring alongside Sex and the City’s John Corbett and the 9 ½ Weeks star, Kim Basinger.

The movie which starts off some time in the mid-90’s in a small New Mexico town near the border of Mexico, sees Gina (Basinger) having an affair with a married man and being murdered by Theron.

It was a special night in the life of actor Tom Hanks when at Manhattan’s Lincoln Center the 52 year old star of The Da Vinci Code was honored at the Film Society of Lincoln Center’s annual gala tribute.

Hanks was honored by a star studded line up of movie related A Listers including Steven Spielberg, Sally Field, Charlize Theron, Julia Roberts and Ron Howard who all joined him at the dinner and awards ceremony.

With blockbusters such as Cast Away, Philadelphia,  and Forrest Gump to his name, Tom remains one of the few Hollywood greats who’s reputation is read more ....

Fate has landed Christina Applegate a cruel blow! As she lines up with other celebrities to appear on a cancer telethon in September the news has broken that the 36 year old Emmy nominated star of Samantha Who? and Anchorman, is undergoing medical treatment after being diagnosed with the early stages of breast cancer, but the good news is, she will make a full recovery.

After speaking with Christina’s rep E! News reported “Christina was diagnosed with an early form of breast cancer. Benefiting from early detection through a doctor ordered MRI, the cancer is not life threatening. Christina is following read more ....
