Melanie Brown gets her cake and eats it!

Its not often that Eddie Murphy gains any kind of sympathy or respect but today he totally has an abundance of sympathy and condolences as he walks away from a 15 month court battle with former Spice Girl, Melanie Brown.

Brown, who had a very brief affair with Murphy back in 2006 and in a matter of weeks, hey presto, became pregnant, has pursued Eddie to the ends of the earth to get her pound of flesh in revenge for his impertinences at having so publicly and unceremoniously dumped her!

It seemed a bit, well, out of character, that Eddie Murphy should accept the role of The Riddler in the next Batman movie and now it seems that although the Sun newspaper in the UK reported the news, its just not true!

Murphy announced earlier this year that he was actually retiring from movie making, and not before time, with his latest offerings, Norbit and Meet Dave bombing at the box office, but if Murphy was to reconsider his retirement, a role alongside the Caped Crusader could just be the role to revitalize his flagging career.
