It’s the Kings’ birthday and he would have been 74 on January 8th had he lived beyond his 42 years.

Elvis Presley has been gone for more than 30 years now but that hasn’t stopped his adoring fans from celebrating the special day, year after year, after year, after year!

Born on January 8th 1935, the King is still the center of attention at the annual ceremony which is held at his home, Gracelands, in Memphis, Tennessee.

Mickey Mouse vs. John McCain

Looking younger than the presidential loser, John McCain, 72, younger than Larry King, 75 today and even former Mousketeer Justin Timberlake, 27, Mickey Mouse celebrated his 80th birthday yesterday with a 3 tier birthday cake with bigger ears than Dumbo!

For 80 years Mickey has remained the lasting image of everything Disney, spawning a club that gave us Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Ryan Gosling, JC Chasez and Keri Russell.

But even at 80 years of age and with a 70 year romance with girl friend, Minnie Mouse, Mickey is no closer to settling down and taking life easy than he read more ....

Barack Obama Holds up an American Win!

In England, every four years we (most times) play football in a tournament known as the ‘World Cup’, and who do we come up against in that WORLD CUP? Brazil, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Cameroon, Argentina, Belgium, China, Croatia, Denmark, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Ireland, Japan, Korea Republic, Mexico, Nigeria, Paraguay, Nigeria, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Senegal, Slovenia, South Africa, Sweden, Tunisia, Turkey, Uruguay and we even let the USA in. Yes, pretty much, THE WORLD!

 

And if and when we win, we know we have won The World Cup and beaten every other team in the read more ....

My Tie’s Bigger Than Your Tie….Ryan to Anderson Cooper

Always as sharp as a tack, but sometimes completely missed with the speed of his delivery and reporting, Anderson Cooper really showed his humorous side last night while playing a round of verbal volleyball with Ryan Seacrest.

As Seacrest stood in for CNN host, Larry King, he conducted an interview with Nicole Richie, and at the same time he swapped compliments with Anderson on how the two tie their neck ties.

But Anderson seized the moment to introduce a very subtle innuendo as the conversation went as follows-:

Ringo Starr: Give Peace a Chance, Again!!!

While it’s a really nice gesture, we think it’s been done before by a member of The Beatles, John Lennon, and maybe if you’d done it when you were a little younger, Ringo, you may have reached more people than the inner city population of Chicago and viewers of the Larry King show.

But none the less, Ringo Starr, the former Beatles’s drummer passes out birthday muffins Monday outside the Hard Rock Hotel in downtown Chicago as he celebrated his 68th birthday by asking everyone around the world to flash a peace sign at noon local time.
