With little left that can help the Dirty Dancing star, Patrick Swayze, he has now made the decision to stop the treatment he’s been receiving over the past few months for his stage 4 pancreatic cancer.

Doctors have told 56 year old Swayze that there is nothing that can be done to cure his illness and all they can do is help keep him comfortable.

After checking himself into hospital recently with pneumonia symptoms, he was released on January 16^th 2009 having undergone treatment but with no promise of a full recovery.

As Patrick Swayze’s latest contribution to the world of entertainment, The Beast, is set to hit US TV screens this Thursday, the star himself is reported to be fighting his own beast in a Los Angeles hospital.

The star of the 1980’s Dirty Dancing blockbuster had been planning a series of promotional TV appearances for the new series over the next few days before being hospitalized with pneumonia which is related to the stage-four pancreatic cancer he has been fighting over the past few months.

Despite Patrick Swayze’s constant fight against the disease and his positive attitude throughout his treatment, it now appears that Swayze is about to take his last stand against the cancer which has now spread to his liver and is reported to be close to ending the life of the Dirty Dancing actor.
