Well, if one considers Mariah Carey’s tacky attempt at Jackson’s own 1970’s hit, ‘I’ll Be There’, failing to find those top notes that Jackson found with such ease, or Usher’s ghoulish touching of Jackson’s gold casket, (that we were led to believe was occupied by Jackson’s body), as any accolade to The King of Pop, then by comparison, Princess Diana wins hands down!

 When Princess Diana died in August 1997, her funeral was attended by the veteran singer/songwriter, Sir Elton John who sang his re-hashed version of Candle in the Wind, especially put together for the Princess’s funeral which was carried out in a tasteful manner.

There seems to be an underlying current of ‘Royal bashing’ in the UK in the past few weeks.

We’ve seen Prince Harry being pulled up for referring to his friend as a ‘Paki’ and for telling a black pal, ‘you don’t sound like a black chap’. Then there was the incident when Prince Charles referred to his polo team mate as ‘Sooty’ and Queen Elizabeth II herself was criticized for allowing the sale of Gollies in the souvenir shop at her Sandringham Estate.

Kate Middleton, who as been the constant companion and girlfriend of Prince Charles’s eldest son, Prince William, since their days at St Andrew’s university, is now hearing her mother expressing her concerns that the Prince may never marry her daughter.

There’s a recession on in the United Kingdom so what’s the best way to make a bit of money without actually getting off your bu$$ and working? Accuse a wealthy entrepreneur of sexual assault on your daughter?
