Here we go again! As the season for Hollywood award ceremonies approaches the Screen Acror’s Guild looks set once again, as they did in 2008, to cause as much disruption as possible.

This year Alec Baldwin, Tom Hanks and George Clooney are all urging the Guild to drop their plans for a strike. Citing the slumping U.S. economy, the actors said in statements yesterday that members should accept an offer put forward by the studios in June.
