Mel Gibson may have taken on the role of a Colonel, Colonel Sanders of chicken fame that is, but he’s in no position to dish out the orders to his publicist, Alan Neirob, and suggest that he hire himself out to save the career of beleaguered R&B singer Chris Brown following his physical attack on girlfriend Rihanna last week.

Brown, 19, was arrested on the night of Grammys on suspicion of assaulting the Umbrella singer and was released on 50,000-dollars bail. Brown’s career is now in deep jeopardy of collapsing around his ears with the media coverage that he attracted after the photos of Rihanna’s battered face were released on the Web last week.

The 53 year old historical movie maker’s publicist, Nierob, was credited with keeping Mel’s movie career afloat during his alleged anti-Semitic outburst in 2006, when he was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.
Gibson recently grew a moustache and goatee for an appearance in his spoof movie trailer in which we see the colonel seeking revenge against chickens after his true love Josephine is killed by the birds.
“I shall not stop until every last one of them is dead. Finger licking dead,” he declares in the ad after being handed the original KFC recipe by his beloved.
