It’s been easy to feel the pain and sadness for actress Farrah Fawcett over the past few months as her battle with cancer came to the attention of her fans and the public at large. But now, with her interview of August last year for the Los Angeles Times, it appears that Farrah is less than appreciative of the people who have put her where she is and have supported her with messages and prayers during her traumatic health problems.
The former Charlie’s Angel star, Fawcett, now terminally ill with cancer has taken a final swipe at the media that effectively made her the household name she is, and the person for whom her fans now feel sympathy and sorrow.
Farrah, 62, has blasted paparazzi and the celebrity culture for invading her privacy and spoiling the last years of her life. In an interview published in the Los Angeles Times today said the unwanted attention had made her battle with cancer more difficult.

“It’s much easier to go through something and deal with it without being under a microscope. It was stressful. I was terrified of getting the chemo. It’s not pleasant. And the radiation is not pleasant. I’m a private person. I’m shy about people knowing things. And I’m really shy about my medical care. It would be good if I could just go and heal and then when I decided to go out, it would be okay. It seems that there are areas that should be off-limits’.

Continuing the interview, the partner of Love Story star Ryan ONeal said, “I’m holding on to the hope that there is some reason that I got cancer and there is something - that may not be very clear to me right now but that I will do.”
Maybe with her fame and fortune founded on her, now famous 1970’s swimwear poster, Farrah has little reason to speak of shyness.
