One could be forgiven for thinking that Casey Aldridge had a ‘cracked skull’ prior to his accident this weekend, having become involved with, and fathering the child of, Jamie Lynn Spears, sister of Toxic singer, Britney Spears.

Aldridge, the father of Spear’s baby, Maddie Briann, was hospitalized this weekend following a crash while driving his F-150 pick up truck in Louisiana.

The 19 year old had five passengers in the vehicle when it left the road and flipped over leaving Aldridge with a cracked skull and the other occupants were ejected from the truck. The men had been attending a bachelor party for Casey’s cousin on Saturday night.

Aldridge was reported to be passing in and out of consciousness at the Riverland Medical Facility in Ferriday, Louisiana. But following initial reports, the US site People Magazine confirmed that Casey was not as seriously injured as first thought but that he had been charged with careless operation of a motor vehicle.

After being transferred to the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, doctors said they plan to move Aldridge out of the intensive care unit on Monday.

A source reported, “They said it was borderline whether he needed surgery or not, but they’ve taken some scans and see no further damage.”

The other occupants were reported to have suffered less serious injuries. Louisiana state police were amazed that the injuries sustained by all 6 occupants were not as serious as they would have expected under the circumstances.

A family member stated, “Only one of them was even wearing a seat belt,” says the source. “There had to be angels all around them.”
