Following in the footsteps of Abba, Rod Stewart, Queen, John Lennon and Billy Joel, Kylie Minogue is aiming at having her own show on the London’s West End and probably later on New York’s Broadway.
Kylie, the Australian born actress and singer believes she can create a musical based around her greatest hits.
The writer behind the recent cancer survivor, Minogue, is confident that she make a success of her production saying, “We’ll weave all her hits together into a great storyline. Kylie never does anything naff. She’s got a finely tuned crap antenna and we don’t suffer from an irony deficiency.” Kathy Lette is also adamant that fans will be pleased with the final results.
Kylie has kept her career on track for the past 24 years, from the young character of Charlene she played in the Aussie soap, Neighbours to her musical career that has also spanned as many years, all culminating in her receiving the OBE from Prince Charles earlier this year.
Now all that’s left to be seen is, will the show include all those crazy big hair styles and puffa-skirt fashions the Kylie adopted in the 1980’s?
