Larry Birkhead, the father of Anna Nicole Smith’s baby, Dannielynn, was thrust into the limelight last year following the death of the Playboy model and the custody battle for the baby which eventually was DNA tested as being Larry’s child.

Now, as a result of his paternity battle with Howard K Stern, it appears he has to justify just about every move he makes in his private life.

But after his winning bid of $3,000 to acquire lingerie that had previously been owned by Anna Nicole, Larry defended his actions by saying, ‘I don’t need to defend myself. That’s just part of life, I can do whatever I want. Its not like she’s going to wear it today, you know its not like she’s ever gonna wear it. Its just something I am putting away as a keepsake.”

Speaking about those who criticized him, he says, “they don’t understand my daughter’s mother is dead, so I have to basically put together history things that she doesn’t know and Playboy was apart of her history so its not going to be something I talk tomorrow at bedtime, that’s sesame street. We got probably 20 more years to go before we get to Playboy.”
