We no longer see those worry photographs of Michael Jackson wandering aimlessly around with his primate, Bubbles, tucked securely under his arm, deep in conversation with his best mate, but that doesn’t mean that Wacko Jacko is any less intent on being a Doctor Dolittle while in the UK.
As Jackson plans for his so called ’comeback’ concerts at London’s O2 arena, beginning in July ‘09, PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) have got wind of the Billy Jean singer’s intention to incorporate live wild animals in his stage act.

Wanting to make it the most spectacular event ever seen, Jackson is planning in the jungle section, to ride out on an African elephant with panthers led on gold chains. Parrots and other birds will fly behind him.
But PETA wont see the use of animals as spectacular, merely a cruel exploitation of the creatures in an effort to make Jackson look better than he really is and have issued a statement to that effect saying, “These exotic animals belong in Africa, not the O2 Arena among screaming fans, bright lights and stage explosions. These wild animals are deprived of everything that is natural and important to them when they are forced to perform under stressful conditions. Michael needs to learn to leave exotic animals alone.” A sentiment probably held by Bubbles in the past!!!!
Its stacking up to be purely a ‘Cirque De Jackson’ as the fallen star plans to make use of lights, special effects, explosions and animals…..anything but the talent for which he became known back in the day!
Animals have been band from circuses in the UK since 2006 when the Defra Minister Ben Bradshaw announced to the House of Commons that a ban on the use of certain wild animals was being planned for the UK under the Animal Welfare Bill.
In the USA no such ban is in place and animals are normal part of circus shows.
