Much like her character in Sex and the City, Kim Cattrall has found that holding on to a toy boy is a lot harder than it first appears.

When sex mad Samantha Jones had toy boy Smith Jerrod firmly in her sights on the popular HBO TV series she kept him under her spell for at least 3 of the six series, but when the big screen version of the series hit the movie theaters last year, Samantha realized that being with a toy boy wasn’t where she wanted to be at that point in her life, and dumped him.

And now, as life imitates the movie, Kim has also found herself in that place in real life as she splits with her real life toy boy of 5 years, Canadian chef, Alan Wyse.

Wyse, just 32, is 20 years Kim’s junior and clearly has a different agenda in mind to the 52 year old English born blonde beauty.

Although no reason has been forthcoming from either party, TVGuide.com have spoken with Kim’s rep and the split has been confirmed.

Three times divorced Kim is once again on the market but with rumours of a sequel to 2008’s Sex and the City box office hit, she probably wont be in the market for romance for some time if her filming schedule takes her off to far flung luxurious locations with the other three man eating vixens, Cynthia Nixon, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kristin Davis.

But there’s one toy boy that Kim can rely on, Jason Lewis, who played Smith Jerrod in the movie is rumored to be reprising his role in the Sex And The City movie sequel, as he told PopSugar, “There’s a good chance, yeah’.

Sex And The City’s other male love interests, Chris Noth (Mr Big), Evan Handler (Harry Goldenblatt) and David Eigenberg (Steve Brady) - have already been confirmed to return for the movie.
