Where have all the great script writers gone? Where are all the great characters like Del Boy Trotter (David Jason) and Rodney Trotter, (Nicholas Lyndhurst) and shows like Only Fools and Horse?

Instead we are being fed a load of yesterday’s revamped trash dressed up to meet the demands of today’s violent thirsty viewers.

In the past few years we have seen not only television programs regurgitated for the small screen but transformed onto the big screen. There was Charlie’s Angels starring Drew Barrymore, Cameron Diaz and Lucy Liu, then there was The Dukes of Hazard starring Jessica Simpson and Starsky and Hutch starring Owen Wilson and Ben Stiller.

Now we here that the A Team is to be made into a big screen event and the UK show from, 1979, Minder, is to be reintroduced starring Shane Ritchie.

Along with an overdosing of reality shows, (cheap TV for low I.Q.’s) such as Dancing with the Stars, The Apprentice, X Factor and the worst of all, Celebrity Big Brother, these revamped movies and TV shows are nothing short of a rip off to the TV license paying public and movie goers alike, and offer nothing remotely associated with entertainment, creative television or mentally stimulation.
