So everyone in the UK is laughing at the ‘former’ airhead heiress, Paris Hilton, as she announces that she thinks the British Prime Minister is Gordon……..Ramsey, when we all know its Gordon Brown.

But perhaps Miss Hilton is actually spot on with her reply and has actually got a good point. Maybe Ramsey should be Prime Minister, and with his culinary skills he could concoct a few recipes for getting the United Kingdom out of the financial quagmire in which it now finds itself, thanks to Mr Brown.

While visiting the UK to find a new best friend the 27 year old star of The Simple Life, was asked to name the Prime Minister as she excitedly told of her love of the UK, and in her own inimitable manner, gave her somewhat mixed up reply.

Paris has been in the UK filming her new show, Britain’s Best Friend, over the past few months in which 12 normal people battle to persuade the star that they should be her closest friend in the UK.

But, if laughing a Paris is top of the Brit’s list of amusements, maybe they should ask a few of their own 27 year olds if they know who the first President of The United States of America was, or where Alabama is on the map, or who assassinated President John F Kennedy. Aren’t we all more familiar with our own country, whether we’re an America airhead heiress or a bumbling British Prime Minister?
