Barack Obama, Commander in Chief or comedian?

Grab yourself a colour chart and choose a nice shade of white or pastel. That’s the message from the man in The White House who is saying ‘yes we can’ and all with a bucket of white paint, or with some pretty ‘pastel shades!’

Now that must be what he meant when he said, ‘change’ is coming!

While North Korea carry out missile testing and Iran amass nuclear energy, Obama suggests we all busy ourselves painting our roofs white, which he will probably follow with a white paint stimulus package for all home maintenance companies.

US President, Barack Obama has appointed himself an energy secretary, Steven Chu, who believes that all we need to do to counteract global warming is invest in a huge paint brush and a few gallons of white wash and set to work on not only our homes, but roads, public buildings and sidewalks. Will Obama being painting his ‘beast’ (that’s not Michelle Obama in this instance!) and Air Force One, white?

It would be interesting to hear what Queen Elizabeth II thinks about painting the top of her palaces white, or maybe the Pope’s reaction to a white Vatican. What about the poor sods who live in Alaska, in 40 degree below temperatures. Or maybe try driving in a Colorado snow storm, on a white road! What happens when winter creeps in, will we all receive a heating allowance needed to supply more energy to heat our reflective roofed houses?

Dr Chu, a Nobel prize-winning scientist, (Al Gore has one of those, proving they‘re given to idiots!) said the low-tech solution would be as effective at reducing global warming as taking all the world’s cars off the roads for 11 years. Hasn‘t, Obama just managed to remove a few million cars from the roads in the past 5 months with unemployment, the cost of gas and his recession in general?

While attending a climate change meeting hosted by Prince Charles, Chu declared that the simple act of making roofs, pavements, roads and even cars white or light-coloured could have a dramatic effect.

Dr Chu said those who do not find white roofs pleasing could invest in ‘cool colours’ - pastel shades which also absorb less heat. How do the Chinese and the Russians feel about white roofs?

Has this man experienced the weather in the UK for the past couple of summers? Global warming would be a bit of a benefit right now as the UK’s weather resembles one long winter/early spring for 365 days of every year!
