Once upon a time there were three little girls who went to the police academy……..and two of them had more than a fight with crime on their hands after they became sick with cancer. But they remained friends and pulled each other through.
That appeared to be what was on the mind of ex Charlie’s Angel star Jaclyn Smith as she fought back tears when she spoke of her fellow Angel Farrah Fawcett on the talk show hosted by Bonnie Hunt.
Speaking about her friend Farrah who has been diagnosed with cancer Smith said, “She’s amazing. She is strong and courageous. When I talk to her, she makes me laugh. I’m proud of her. She’s my friend.”
Jaclyn, 62, herself is no stranger to the disease as she battled and won her fight with breast cancer in 2003.
The two actresses who played Jill Monroe and Kelly Garrett in the popular 1970’s TV show have remained firm friends ever since.
Farrah has been embroiled in her fight with the disease since being diagnosed in with cancer in September 2006, had been declared cancer free by her doctors on February 2nd 2007, her 60th birthday, after having undergone chemotherapy and radiation. But earlier this year Farrah discovered the cancer had once again returned.
